How Much Is The Sinking City 2?

Last verified · TSC2 Wiki

$49.99 for the Standard Edition, $54.99 for Deluxe and $59.99 for Premium, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC alike. That base price is $10 below the current full-price standard, and Frogwares positioned it there deliberately.

Cross-checkedConfirmed against several independent walkthroughs of the build 1.0 (launch build, August 2026) on August 22, 2026 against the Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, GOG and Epic listings. Deluxe$54.99Costumes and in-game resources
Premium$59.99A two-hour extra mission and a weapon

The editions page breaks down whether the upgrades are worth it. Short version: Premium is the only tier that adds gameplay.

Why it launched below full price

Most major releases in 2026 sit at $69.99 or above. Frogwares chose $49.99 and press coverage at launch made a point of it — a sub-AAA price for a game with a AAA-adjacent production look.

The context matters: Frogwares is an independent Ukrainian studio that has been open about developing through wartime disruption, and pricing under the market is a legitimate way for a self-publisher to compete for attention against much larger releases in the same month.

Is it good value for the length?

The campaign runs roughly 8 to 12 hours, about 16 for a thorough run, and around 20 to reach 100% across two playthroughs. At $49.99 that is broadly in line with the price-per-hour of most single-player horror releases, and better than several of them.

What you are not getting is a long game. If length per dollar is your primary metric, this is not the strongest purchase in the genre — but very little of the runtime is padding, which is the trade Frogwares made when it dropped the first game's open world.

Regional pricing

Store prices are set per region and vary with local pricing rules and currency. The USD figures above are the reference points Frogwares and the storefronts use; converting them yourself will not match what your store shows, so check the listing in your own region rather than doing the maths.

Ways to pay less

  • Wait for a store sale. Because Frogwares self-publishes, sale timing is the studio's own decision — historically that means seasonal storefront sales.
  • Buy Standard, not Deluxe. The middle tier adds cosmetics and resources only.
  • PC keys. Authorised resellers exist; grey-market ones carry real risks. Read how to buy a key safely first.
  • Do not wait for a subscription. It is not on Game Pass or PS Plus, and nothing has been announced.

What you get for $49.99

Five chapters across drowned Arkham, an optional investigation system that doubles as the progression economy, 23 trophies or achievements, a New Game Plus mode required for 100%, and review scores of 84 on Xbox Series X, 79 on PS5 and 75 on PC.

Whether that adds up for you is the argument on the verdict page.
