The Sinking City 2 Trainers and Cheats

Last verified · TSC2 Wiki

The Sinking City 2 has no official cheat menu. Third-party trainers exist for most single-player PC games, and they carry the usual risks: broken achievements, unstable saves and executables from unfamiliar sources. The built-in difficulty options solve most of what people want trainers for.

Our positionThis page explains the landscape and the risks. We do not link to trainers, host downloads, or explain how to defeat any protection.

Why people look for one

People search for a The Sinking City 2 trainer for almost always the same three reasons: ammunition is scarce, an encounter is frustrating, or a collectible run is tedious. All three have in-game answers.

What the difficulty options already do

Four modes — Sweet Dreams, Restless Slumber, Hard Night and Sleep Demon — and the easiest can be made very forgiving for players who want the story rather than the survival economy. That covers most of what a trainer's "god mode" is used for, without touching the game's files.

Crucially, using it costs you nothing: the 23-trophy list does not punish playing on an easier setting.

The actual risks of third-party trainers

  • Malware. Unofficial executables — whether a packaged trainer or a Cheat Engine table promising infinite ammo — are a standard infection vector, and search results for trainers are heavily targeted.
  • Achievements. Memory or file modification can prevent unlocks.
  • Save corruption. Modified state can leave saves that behave unpredictably later, particularly across patches.
  • Support. Frogwares asks for a dxdiag and detail when you report bugs; a modified install makes that report largely useless.
  • Patch breakage. The studio has patched actively since launch, and trainers are version-specific.

Is it against the rules?

This is a single-player game with no competitive component, so using a trainer does not affect other players. That is a real distinction from cheating in multiplayer, and it is why the honest framing here is risk rather than morality.

Storefront terms still apply to modifying game files, and achievement unlocks obtained through modification are not something the studio or platform is obliged to honour.

If you are stuck rather than curious

Most trainer searches trace back to one specific frustration. If that is you, the direct answers are here:

The completion angle

A specific warning for trophy hunters: 100% here needs two playthroughs, because Ex Oblivione codices only exist in New Game Plus. A modified install that invalidates unlocks costs you both runs rather than one.

If the goal is to make the grind lighter rather than to break it, the platinum roadmap does that legitimately by ordering the work so nothing gets repeated.

What about the demo trainers?

Trainers built for the pre-launch demo do not apply to the released game, and version mismatches are the most common cause of crashes people then report as game bugs.

If you are troubleshooting a crash, the first step is to remove third-party tools entirely and then follow Frogwares' own procedure on the crash fixes page.

The Sinking City 2 FAQ

Does The Sinking City 2 have cheats?

There is no official cheat menu. The difficulty options — four modes, switchable at any time — cover most of what players want cheats for.

Will a trainer break my achievements?

It can. Memory and file modification are known to affect unlocks, and trainers are also version-specific, so patches break them.

Is using a trainer safe?

The gameplay risk is low in a single-player game; the real risks are malware from unfamiliar download sites, save corruption and unusable bug reports.
